Did you miss Channing Tatum's latest film, 'Roofman,' in theaters? You're not alone. Despite a compelling story and strong performances, the movie unfortunately underperformed at the box office. But don't worry, you haven't missed your chance to experience this unique film! Derek Cianfrance's return to directing, after nearly a decade, has quietly delivered one of the year's best movies.
'Roofman' is based on a wild true story ripped from the headlines, following Jeffrey Manchester, a U.S. Army veteran. He becomes known as the 'Rooftop Robber' in North Carolina. He breaks into McDonald's and other corporate locations through the roof, then politely confronts the staff. After escaping prison, Jeffrey hides for months inside a Toys 'R' Us. However, his presence begins to affect the Charlotte community.
The marketing for 'Roofman' presented it as a quirky crime comedy with a nostalgic feel, but it's really a nuanced and moving dramedy about a good person caught in a cycle of self-destruction. This film features an excellent performance from Channing Tatum, who once again brings his enduring appeal, and a career-best performance. The supporting cast includes Kirsten Dunst, who plays a kind-hearted single mom that Manchester falls for.
So, how can you watch 'Roofman' at home?
You'll be able to digitally purchase 'Roofman' on most PVOD platforms, like Prime Video, YouTube, and Fandango at Home, starting November 11, 2025.
If you choose to purchase 'Roofman' digitally, it will cost you $24.99. While it's a significant investment, this is the current price. While the film will likely be available to rent in the coming months, there's no news on when the movie will be available on physical media formats like 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. However, if you pre-order the digital version, you'll get over 45 minutes of bonus material, including featurettes like 'Based on Actual Events and Terrible Decisions,' 'Chasing the Ghosts: The Director's Methods,' 'A Good Place to Hide,' 'Driving Lesson,' 'Choir Practice,' and deleted and alternate scenes.
These bonus features will likely be included on the Blu-ray copies of 'Roofman' as well, whenever they're released. Since Paramount Pictures is distributing the film, it will likely be available on Paramount+ within the coming months too.
